Hafez is Iran's 14th century poet and his works are regarded as a pinnacle of Persian literature.
In his works, Hafez masterfully uses wine, love, lovers and their joyous times and struggles as a metaphor for any life situation for anybody anywhere. In this poem, he speaks of how to compromise and make things right and if problems still persists, just start anew. My illustrations represent the verses as they are written and do not justify the broader meaning it provides.
